Why this is here
The owner asked for the works Bencherki, Brummans & Vézy (2024, LIT-1902) lean on. The parent cites it once, with “see”, for an example of transduction as transformation (p. 1356): “A neural synapse, for instance, converts an electrical signal into a chemical medium (serotonin) and then into electricity; or a hunger pang is converted into the postponing of work until after lunch (see Simondon, 2010).” Not checked. The synapse appears in Bencherki & Iliadis (LIT-1922, ms. p. 14), not attributed to this book: “In biology, transduction refers to the translation of one signal into another, for example the translation of a chemical signal into an electrical signal at the level of synapses.” Iliadis (LIT-1911, fn. 28) calls Simondon’s courses “infinitely more technical in nature” than the thesis.
