Standing in the record
Registered on 2026-09-29 at the owner’s request, because the owner’s prior-art novelty map (a private working
document on concepts as projectors, the linear representation hypothesis and their neighbours) cites it: row 8: oriented-matroid/arrangement owner of “Xiong’s regions are topes”.
It is seeded from metadata and published descriptions and has not been read here.
Only the year of first publication is known; published: uses 1 January.
Identification notes: Mathematics tag only; arrangement theory has no finer tag.
A close reading was attempted on 2026-09-29. No legitimate full text could be reached: Several places were tried, and none gives a legitimate full text. (1) The converted-text cache holds no copy. (2) The AMS bookstore and ams.org PDF URLs for Memoirs AMS 154 (DOI 10.1090/memo/0154) returned 403 behind a Cloudflare challenge. The Memoirs are in copyright: the Online Books Page records AMS Memoirs issues renewed from 1951, and a 1975 work is protected regardless. (3) OpenAlex marks it closed, listing only a Bavarian library catalogue record and a CERN catalogue record, with no full text. (4) Zaslavsky’s own publication page (Binghamton) links the Memoir only to the AMS bookstore. It hosts a PDF of the 3-page announcement “Counting the faces of cut-up spaces” (Bull. AMS 81:916–918, 1975), which is a different, summary work, and that link itself returned 404. (5) MIT DSpace, searched through its API, holds no copy of the 1974 MIT thesis the Memoir reproduces. (6) The Internet Archive has no scan. (7) The ResearchGate result for the thesis title was not used, being a third-party upload. The Bull. AMS announcement is the one legitimate open text of the result; it is free on AMS and Project Euclid, but it is not LIT-332. It stays Unavailable until a copy is supplied, not on merit.
