Standing in the record
Registered on 2026-09-29 at the owner’s request, because the owner’s prior-art novelty map (a private working document on concepts as projectors, the linear representation hypothesis and their neighbours) cites it: row 6: the numerical tool for “discover semantic types by block-diagonalizing extracted concept operators”. It is seeded from metadata and published descriptions and has not been read here.
The map names this reference only loosely; this entry is one reasonable reading of it, and the choice is the owner’s to revise.
Identification notes: The map’s author list is a conflation: this paper is Murota, Kanno, M. Kojima, S. Kojima. Maehara is on the companion paper Maehara & Murota 2010, “A numerical algorithm for block-diagonal decomposition of matrix *-algebras with general irreducible components”, JJIAM 27:263–293, doi 10.1007/s13160-010-0007-8 — verified, NOT registered; owner may want it too (it handles the general irreducible-component case needed for the map’s sectors).
It was filed Deferred, unread. NOTE-276 is the close reading of 2026-09-29, and it placed the work: Active — worth reading as the clearest short account of numerical block-diagonalisation of a *-algebra from generators alone, via eigenspaces of a random element. For the general real case, i.e. irreducible components of complex or quaternionic type, the companion Maehara & Murota (JJIAM 27:263–293, 2010) is needed, and is not in the record. For the map’s use, both should be cited.
