Why it is a question

THEORY-034 places seven structural-realist texts against Chakravartty’s dilemma (LIT-196, read in NOTE-149) and finds two of the target kind. The founding non-eliminative texts are not among them. Chakravartty quotes Every Thing Must Go (LIT-301) for objects “purged of their intrinsic natures”, and neither it nor Ladyman 1998 (LIT-342) nor French and Ladyman 2003 is held, so where they fall is open.

What would answer it

THEORY-034’s former promote_when, unchanged:

The founding texts Chakravartty targets are read, and the placements below are checked against them: Ladyman 1998 (LIT-342), French & Ladyman 2003, and Every Thing Must Go (LIT-301), which he quotes for objects “purged of their intrinsic natures”. The account is refuted if a held non-eliminative OSR text denies relata every intrinsic identity-fixing feature and meets the dilemma. Another survey restating the dilemma cannot settle it; only a primary text placing itself on one horn can.
