The inference

CASE-037 is the parity triangle with uniform weights: a no-signalling, strongly contextual model, with contextual fraction 1. Changed in one context, it gives CLAIM-105’s recovered pair, with fractions 1 and 0. So a step that keeps most local judgements can change their global compatibility. That is CLAIM-105: “translation preserves local meanings while changing the global structure of meaning”. CLAIM-219 calls the case “the one instance of the headline in the record”.

Critical questions

  • Would the evidence be expected if the hypothesis were false? Yes, and this is the question that fails. CLAIM-219: “On the first horn the headline has no case but a constructed one”, and “CASE-037 is stipulated.” The model exists whatever documented chains do. CLAIM-105’s version 3 speaks of what “documented reconstruction chains” commonly do, so a constructed case is at most an existence proof, and an existence proof does not bear on what is common.
  • Does it tell the hypothesis apart from its rivals? No. The rival is CLAIM-325: the behavioural data the record has read show no contextuality proper. Dzhafarov, Zhang and Kujala (LIT-264) found “None is contextual” in five kinds of behavioural data. A stipulated model cannot tell that rival from the headline.
  • Does the measure measure what it is said to? Within the case, yes. The contextual fraction is defined for a no-signalling model, and CASE-037 is one. The fault is the premise’s provenance, not the measure.

Verdict

Rejected. CLAIM-219 undercuts it. Its dilemma is about the subject matter: a change in global compatibility over a fixed scenario is either contextuality proper, which the data read show none of, or a change in overlap consistency, which moves by at most 2ε when each context’s distribution moves by ε, and is ordinary context dependence. CLAIM-325, which CLAIM-219 rests on, could undercut it too. The argument does not say a contextual pragmatic data set cannot exist; one, documented with its coding fixed in advance, would be a different premise.
