The claim
At U40 the owner showed the assistant the generated term-revisions view, with no argument attached. A125 replied: “The generated revision view is valuable precisely because it exposes places where our terminology evolved faster than our formalism.” From the view it split the frame into three formal roles, found TERM-002 vacuous, and proposed unifying the two Active fidelity lineages. The owner agreed to the last of these at U41.
A record that only stores what was said cannot do this. The chains
(revisions, dialectic, argument) render relations that no single
entry holds. Read back, they show the argument something about itself that
no participant had said. In this case the view was the first observation
of the case the manuscript is about.
What it does not say
- It does not say the moves A125 drew from the view were right. A125 also overclaimed a link to Noether-type conservation (CLAIM-093).
- It is one instance.
Note of 2026-10-11 (later): ascription that shapes its target
THEORY-137 (Tollefsen) is added as a ground, by analogy. Attributions of knowledge to an institution work largely by shaping the institution. “What the record holds”, read back through its generated views, is such an ascription: it shapes the argument it describes. The analogy is the filer’s; THEORY-137 is about corporate criminal law.
Note of 2026-10-29: what holds it back
It is one instance, U40, and its defeat condition is stated over further exchanges: no later exchange is recorded in which a fed-back view produced a move the participants acted on that rereading the source entries would not have given. Its premise CLAIM-178 is Proposed.
