Why this is here

The owner raised it at U36 of the exchange: “your account of frustration measured relative to options for an update to meet or fail requirements has me wondering if Arrow’s Impossibility Theorem might be useful to us.” A36 named the theorem without a source and relocated it: “Arrow’s theorem belongs in the theory of endorsement, not directly in the geometry of feasible updates”. The record held Arrow only through Sen (LIT-282, NOTE-263; LIT-285, THEORY-027) and O’Donnell’s Fourier proof (LIT-346). Bears on CLAIM-346 (aggregation as an obstruction independent of feasibility) and CLAIM-353, which turns on the difference between Arrow’s theorem and Sen’s liberal paradox.
