Why this is here

The model Biel (NOTE-1299) and Reimer et al. (NOTE-1251) use, and behind Pettigrew’s recategorization (LIT-1408).

Read in its place

The work cannot be read here, so the record holds it at second hand.

Dovidio et al. 2009 (NOTE-1286) restate the model the 1993 paper set out: four representations (one group, two subgroups within one group, two groups, separate individuals) with distinct consequences, and the dual identity as a second form of recategorization. They extend it to helping. They do not cite the 1993 paper. Missing still: its account of how the contact hypothesis’s conditions work through recategorization, and its laboratory and field evidence.
