The inference

The transcript records:

  • a half-second pause (line 42);
  • a gaze moving between the ceiling, the ground and Dr. Raaga;
  • difficulty “finding the words” (p. 1362);
  • a reversal: “at first sight, I don’t have major objections” (line 75).

CLAIM-484 reads such marks as a gap between the precedence a motive claims and the authority the rest of the organization grants it.

Critical questions

  • Would the evidence be expected if the conclusion were false? Yes. On the paper’s reading the marks are disindividuation: an organization meeting a demand from outside that it cannot yet take in (p. 1356). That reading predicts the same pauses and reversal.
  • Does it tell the claim apart from its rivals? No, and this is the question that fails. Separating them needs the claim and the grant recorded independently of the marks, and the transcript records neither.
  • Does the measure measure what it is said to? No. The marks are read through supposition about what Robert knew and felt (NOTE-1484, Limitations).

Rejected as evidence. CLAIM-484’s note of 2026-10-29 still asks for an episode of the right kind.
