The claim
A97 §2: “It isn’t automatically formal sheaf contextuality: diffusion conditioning failures can arise from imperfect score estimation, compositional generalization, or sampling.” A97 §3: “The diffusion process’s internal denoising time should not be identified with historical telephone-game time. They are different dynamics.”
Manuscript §7: “This provides a concrete compositional mechanism; it does not guarantee correct joint bindings, and a generative failure is not itself a proof of sheaf contextuality.” “Denoising time, however, is not the same as historical translation or telephone-game time. Our claim is a shared mathematical vocabulary of constrained distributions and stochastic transformations, not an identification of their physical or computational mechanisms.”
What it protects
CLAIM-123 and CLAIM-013, which use generation as a case, from being read as claims that generation is translation.
