The claim
A100, proposal v6: “Central thesis: Communication transports structures of observational constraints rather than invariant semantic objects. Translation, language-model reconstruction, and conditional image generation are different realizations of this process. Fidelity depends on which distinctions survive, how their relationships are preserved, and whether locally accessible observations remain jointly compatible.” “The most important architectural change is that conditional generation becomes part of the central theory, not merely an application at the end.” The closing formulation: “Communication does not preserve meaning by transporting a fixed object unchanged. It selectively preserves and reconstructs constraints on what can be observed, inferred, and jointly realized.” And Chapter 17: “What survives is a selected family of distinctions and relationships, under a particular transformation, for particular observers and communicative purposes”, which the manuscript’s conclusion keeps.
Why it was replaced
U36 brought in structuralism (CLAIM-036). The claim that generation realizes the process was later weakened to analogy (CLAIM-120 → CLAIM-071).
