Unpaywall and OpenAlex report the 2015 Psychology Press classic edition (10.4324/9781315740218) closed, with no open-access location and no repository full text, and Semantic Scholar gives no openAccessPdf; the publisher's page (taylorfrancis.com) refused requests from this environment (HTTP 403) and the book is sold, not open access. The 1986 Lawrence Erlbaum edition (10.4324/9780203767764) and the chapter's reprint in *The People, Place, and Space Reader* (Routledge 2014, 10.4324/9781315816852-11) are also closed in Unpaywall and OpenAlex. Crossref lists no chapter-level DOI for the classic edition. Web searches found no author-, estate- or publisher-posted copy and no open-access anthology reprint. A scan of part of Chapter 8 was posted on a University of Oslo course page (IN3220, spring 2021, uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/ifi/IN3220/v21/gibson_james_j_1977_1979_the_theory_of_affordances.pdf); it now returns 404 and the course page is unpublished, and a course's scan of a publisher's chapter is not the author's copy, so it was not used. A full PDF of the classic edition on a university library server (library.uniq.edu.iq) is named as a z-lib download and was not used. Secondary summaries (a book report from HVL's NaChiLit group) were not treated as a reading. None found.
