Why this is here

The owner asked for the works Bencherki, Brummans & Vézy (2024, LIT-1902) lean on. The parent cites it twice:

  • Disindividuation (p. 1356): “Preindividual elements may overflow a being-in-becoming’s ability to incorporate them into its individuation process and provoke disindividuating episodes (Simondon, 1989)”. Not checked. In Bencherki 2017 (LIT-1901, p. 781) the phrase “emotional and provisional disindividuation” is Barthélémy’s gloss on Simondon (Barthélémy 2014, p. 67). What Bencherki quotes from this book (p. 130) is that emotion “indicates that the principles of existence of the individual being are questioned”. So the concept is Simondonian through his commentators. Whether this book uses the word needs the text.
  • Sensation and affection (p. 1357): “[T]here must be a more-than-being, a new individuation, so that sensations can coordinate into perceptions; there also has to be a more-than-being of the subject so that affections become affective world” (p. 116). The parent quotes this through Manning’s translation (2013, p. 29) and says so. Not checked.

LIT-1648, the full English translation, would serve for both if it were obtained.
