Why this is here

An open, current textbook account of the social identity perspective, filed as a stand-in for the exposition in Turner et al. 1987 (LIT-1723), which cannot be read. It is thin on the book itself, but its multiple-categorization section explains the common in-group identity model that Biel (LIT-1133) uses, and the recategorization that Pettigrew (LIT-1408) names.
