Why this is here
THEORY-1114 holds that the content of a category varies with the comparative frame of reference, and its promote_when counts a result only if it “comes from outside the theory’s originating group”. This paper, by the title, studies how the comparative context shapes the formation and change of stereotypes, and its authors are not of the self-categorization group. A reading should check whether it varies the frame while holding the target fixed, which is what that promote_when asks for.
