Definition
An agent exhibits organizational authenticity insofar as its operative commitments arise through, remain integrated with, and are answerable to its own constitutive organization. (A252)
It was given thin and thick forms (A254), and the thick form absorbed TERM-012, which is where its circularity worries came from.
Why it is set aside
Not rejected: deferred. The audit (A276): “Ownership criteria remain insufficiently defended.”
Note of 2026-10-18: a candidate repair, the objection outstanding
The owner, at U45 of the exchange of 2026-10-17: “‘authenticity’ should be treated as an organizational achievement characterized by non-domination of subcomponents.” Filed as CLAIM-362, Proposed, on this line and on will-organization. It gives this term’s “remain integrated with” a content: the processes that carry a commitment are not dominated in carrying it. A45 recommended adding “the non-domination proposal as a candidate repair, while preserving the unresolved manipulation objection”; the objection is CLAIM-364. The earlier returns of graded integration in the same exchange are noted on CLAIM-016. This term’s definition and status are unchanged; reopening the line is the owner’s decision.
