The inference

If physical theory contains locally consistent descriptions with no consistent whole, then the sheaf model’s allowance of non-gluing (CLAIM-038) has physical precedent.

The owner offered it twice. U46, after A158 said a contextual empirical model may have no globally admissible realization: “I maybe swimming out of my lane here, but don’t we know this to be the case because of causality paradoxes from general relativity?” U47, narrowing it: “the paradox I was thinking of was actually just “who crossed the meeting point first?” … They can’t both be true at the same time, so the local interpretations can be glued into a global section”, where “can” is read as “can’t” (CASE-039 gives the reasons).

Critical questions

  • Are the cases alike in the relevant respect? For closed timelike curves, partly: a causal loop and a contextual model are both local-to-global problems. But they behave oppositely under passage to distributions. A loop with no deterministic solution has a distributional fixed point, and a model with no global assignment in its supports has no global distribution (CLAIM-141). For simultaneity, no: there is no obstruction at all. The frames are global charts related by a group action, and only spacelike-separated events change order (CLAIM-144).
  • What transfers? Only the warning that “is there a global realization?” depends on the domain asked about. A161: “Principle: Always specify the domain of global realizability.”
  • What does not? Any evidence that communicative observations fail to glue. A161: “I would avoid claiming that general relativity proves that communicative observational systems need not possess global realizations.” A164: “The relativistic example is therefore not evidence that global gluing fails.”

Rejected as an inference to CLAIM-038. Two claims undercut it, CLAIM-144 and CLAIM-141.

What survives

CLAIM-038 does not need this support. It is a definitional allowance, and its evidence is LIT-016 and CASE-035, not physics. What A164 made of the second push is a different claim: a disagreement is not an obstruction until the correspondence is fixed (CLAIM-143).

The analogy has a history in this record. ARG-004 built the same relativity analogy at U9/A18 and aimed it at another conclusion, that translation is a change between frames with invariants. It was undercut in the same reply and Rejected. This time it came back through the owner, not the assistant, and as evidence for non-gluing rather than as a model of frames. It was undercut in the same reply again.
