The claim
CLAIM-354 lists motivational integration among the dimensions of freedom of will and gives it no content. This claim gives it one. A will made of several demands is integrated to the extent that those demands are co-satisfied:
- within tolerances, because demands are threshold demands (TERM-060), met within a bound and not at a point;
- that it can recognize, because a tolerance it cannot detect it cannot keep (NOTE-1222, Thms 6.1–6.2; TERM-064);
- across the contexts where they interact, because compatibility is a gluing question, and pairwise compatibility does not give joint compatibility (CASE-119; CLAIM-538’s cycle criterion);
- kept so under its own dynamics, because a jointly satisfiable point that the dynamics leave is not maintained integration (A27’s ẋ = 1 + u, |u| ≤ ½; CLAIM-079, stability does not entail viability).
Four things then come apart, any of which can hold while another fails:
- realizability, whether the frontier of CLAIM-538 admits an allocation, CLAIM-347’s complex;
- realization, whether the organization actually meets it, the governance frustration CLAIM-357 separates from structural frustration;
- maintenance, whether it stays met under the dynamics, viability (THEORY-134);
- allocation, where on the frontier the mismatch falls, which overlap gives up how much, a choice CLAIM-538 shows is real and CLAIM-361 asks who may make.
Integration is then neither agreement, all demands the same, nor dominance, one demand silencing the rest. Suppression that removes a demand from what is evaluated produces apparent integration and is excluded, by CLAIM-347’s relief as enlargement for the same demands and by CLAIM-538’s omission clause.
What it does not say
- That integration is good. Neither the demands nor the allocation are shown warranted (CLAIM-523, CLAIM-075).
- That integration is the whole of freedom. It is one of CLAIM-354’s dimensions. CLAIM-545 places it among the relations an agent governs.
- That experience tracks it. QUESTION-255 asks whether unified experience survives conflicting demands; this account is about co-satisfaction, not experience.
