The claim

A112: “doesn’t this make every control system possess a will? … a thermostat has a will, a river has a will, and a reef has a will.”

How it was answered

Three ways, in order:

  1. The owner bit the bullet (CLAIM-062); the assistant withdrew the objection at A116.
  2. It came back regardless — A118, A147, A180, A185, A256 and A279 each raise it again, A98 even as “a new objection the reef allows us to confront”.
  3. The manuscript answers it by making the account agent-indexed: “Does every organized institution have a will? Again, no.” (Section 7.4.)

Rejected as an objection to CLAIM-027. Against CLAIM-012 it was never answered, only made moot by the supersession.
